Performs technical work duties relating to environmental service functions for the City. Work involves implementation of environmental/landscaping inspections, urban forestry maintenance, open space management, animal control, community programs, and administrative functions. The Superintendent supervises assigned staff performing environmental service functions, including assigning and reviewing work, conducting performance reviews, and recommending personnel actions such as hiring, promoting, disciplining, and terminating.
