The City Administrator is responsible for implementing the policies, procedures and legislation of the City Council and performing such special tasks or projects as assigned by the Council from time to time. The City Administrator is responsible for supervision and management of Department Heads and other management staff in accordance with the City's Human Resources Policy Manual. This role is also responsible for management of City's operational and capital projects. The individual in this role must be proactive in communicating issues and identifying problems and opportunities to the Mayor and Council, and be able to make recommendations for resolution and action.
Matt Lingafelter has been employed full-time with the City of Sunset Valley since 2010 and has served in a variety of administrative roles. He was appointed City Administrator by City Council in November of 2022.
